After a great meal last night we gathered today downstairs at our usual time and said good bye to two Cove Guardians, Bob and Rubert. They will be missed. We jumped into the car and headed out to our usual lookout, only to see the banger boats driving in a pod of Risso dolphins. So off we went from our lookout to the Cove and quickly raced down to setup our cameras and recorders and just watched in silence at the horror that was unfolding in front of our eyes. The banger boats and skiffs wasted no time and quickly had the pod netted off and started to push the pod into the killing cove, perhaps out of our sight, but never out of out mind. I am posting all of the video’s on my YouTube page and some of them on facebook. None of today’s video’s show any blood, but the sounds coming from the killing cove can be heard very clearly and I encourage everyone to watch these. Of course the police and the coast guard officials were out again to watch us watch the dolphin hunters and trainers. Sadly three Risso dolphins were taken into a life of captivity and the rest of its family (pod) was slaughtered. It was all over by 9am. Today the cove ran red with blood and again today I was there to witness this horrible atrocity. It doesn’t get any easier, in fact, each day is more difficult than the last.

  1. Stay Strong. You are in my thoughts and prayers along with those dolphins and the of it’s family that was salughter.

  2. “The systematic torture of sentient beings, whatever the pretext and in whatever form, cannot achieve anything more than it already has: to show us what is the lowest point of debasement man can reach . . . if that’s what we want to know.” – Joaquin Phoenix | quote from EARTHLINGS

“Where there is a mind, there are feelings such as pain, pleasure, and joy. No sentient being wants pain: all wants happiness instead.” – Dalai Lama

  3. My heart goes out to you for continually having to witness these atrocities, day after day, & to these poor dolphins. Dolphins are incredibly intelligent, sentient beings. This is so sickening, how can people be so cruel?

  4. As your journey becomes more difficult, I pray you find the strength to keep on with your advocacy work against this cruelty to dolphins. I will also never give up hope that you may succeed in peacefully changing the hearts and minds of people for the greater good of the creatures of this planet and humanity. Thank you again. God bless you in your work.

Just know that what you and others with you are doing will help keep the world aware. We are very grateful to all of you and what you have to endure..just the sounds along I know must never stop in your head.
We pray along with you that this torture and many other’s who suffer pain in our animal world endures from mankind being unkind, will one day be no more.
I look forward to the day we don’t need a Cove Guardian.
    May God bless you all.
